My dad used to tell me that they only things you can be sure of in life are death and taxes. This could be true. I used to think you could be sure of winter in Michigan, but I have found out that it doesn’t always happen. However, I think I could add one more thing to my list: you can be sure that everyone likes to save money or spend less than they have to. That said, today we are going to talk a little about how you could save money on a new furnace.
You might be thinking to yourself, “we don’t need a new furnace, we got a new one when the kids were born.” How old are your kids? Are they in middle school? If so, you need a new furnace. (I know, they grow up so fast). Furnaces should be replaced if they are 12 years old or older, otherwise you are just losing money in the long run.
So, now that we have decided that you probably do need a new furnace. Here is how you get a good one for less. The only requirements you need are:
- Be a DTE Energy Natural Gas residential Customer
- Use an approved contractor (such as Flame)
- Purchase a 95% AFUE (Annual Fuel Utilization Efficiency) all natural gas furnace
That’s it. And you get $400 back. (What could you do with $400…? ) Flame or your approved contractor will handle all the paperwork for you. For more information about this rebate, please check out the DTE website (where I found all of this information). Contact Flame if you would like to schedule a consultation for a new furnace!
